Flodesk is often hailed as the email marketing platform for people who love to design beautiful emails. And honestly, that reputation is well-earned. But for me, that’s not the hook.
Sure, the templates are stunning, but I don’t use them. I design my own emails... and Flodesk makes that incredibly easy.
If you're like me and love having the freedom to make emails that match your own unique brand style you’ll appreciate how flexible and fast the drag-and-drop email builder is.
It lets me build custom emails without fuss or frustration... and I’m sending daily. That’s the secret sauce: I can literally create and send a new email in under 15 minutes. And if that weren’t the case, I wouldn’t be doing it. (And I won't be writing a Flodesk review!)
I’ve used four other email service providers over the years, from platforms that felt like rocket ships to those that felt like spreadsheets in disguise. Each one brought its own learning curve, limitations, and price hike surprises.
What finally convinced me to switch to Flodesk... and stay? Two things: the features give me exactly what I need, and the pricing model took a huge weight off my shoulders.
With a fairly large email list, I used to watch subscriber counts like a hawk, dreading the day I’d hit the next pricing tier. Flodesk’s flat-rate pricing meant I could grow my list without that constant anxiety. That alone was a game-changer (and money in the bank!)
Now, I focus on what matters: writing, connecting, and growing... without cost penalties for success.
But what truly keeps me here, beyond ease and affordability, are the integrations.

Email marketing only reaches its full potential when it’s seamlessly connected to everything else you’re doing. That’s where intuitive email marketing software like Flodesk really shines.
This is where things get seriously efficient. Right now, I mainly use the Shopify integration to easily include my e-commerce products directly into emails. It saves me time and keeps my emails shoppable without fuss.
And here's a little gem I love: the countdown timer. Nothing lights a fire under a flash sale like a ticking clock. It’s a gentle nudge that gets people clicking before the deal disappears.
No clunky third-party syncing tools needed. No importing/exporting spreadsheets. It’s smooth, seamless, and incredibly smart. Even with just these features, the integration is worth it.
Flodesk works seamlessly with Mediavine’s Grow platform, which is where much of the value lies for content creators like me who love the ad income.
My subscribers primarily come through the Grow widget and are automatically funneled into the right Flodesk segments. That means my list is clean, organized, and ready to engage without me lifting a finger.
In every email I send, the individual links that go back to my website can be tagged as Grow links, which helps boost my Mediavine RPM. (Grow links bring in higher RPM than regular links.) It’s a seamless flow... content creation, automated segmentation, and optimized monetization.
Even better, I can segment the subscribers who click on individual links, creating ultra-targeted campaigns that speak directly to my most engaged readers.
That kind of targeted strategy? It’s exactly the kind of smart follow-up every content creator dreams of... and it actually works.
And yes, I do it daily. Because the interface is that intuitive.
In the past, support was a bit of a sticking point. There’s no live chat or phone option... it’s all email-based, and response times were sometimes a bit slow.
But the good news? Things are improving. Recently, I’ve noticed faster replies, more helpful responses, and a stronger presence in their Facebook support forum.
Do I wish they’d add live chat? Sure. But the fact that I’m still here, daily emails and all, says a lot. Flodesk works for me. Even with the hiccups, it’s the platform I’m staying with.
I use Flodesk for sending daily emails... yes, daily. If the interface weren’t as easy and intuitive as it is, that wouldn’t be happening. I simply don’t have the time to wrestle with tech every day.
I use it to keep my blog and shop content in front of my audience consistently. Whether I’m sharing a new post, an updated recipe, or a seasonal roundup, Flodesk lets me do it fast.
If I need them, the templates are clean, responsive, and easy to tweak. I don't get bogged down in features I don't need... I get in, get it done, and move on.
There are a few extra touches that make Flodesk even sweeter.
For one, the visual consistency across devices is solid. What I see on desktop looks just as polished on mobile. That’s critical, since a huge chunk of my audience opens emails on their phones, often while making their morning coffees (so they’ve told me, since my emails go out at 7 a.m.)
And let’s not forget branding. From fonts and colors to custom footers, Flodesk lets me stay on-brand without having to hack code or hire a designer. I get to create an email that feels just like me... without hours of tinkering. That level of control without complexity? A rare find.
One more feature I use regularly, especially on my smaller sites where I send weekly and monthly emails, is the resend option. I wait a few days after the initial send, then let Flodesk take another swing. If someone didn’t open the first time, this gives them a second chance to catch it.
Now, I don’t use the resend feature for my daily emails. That would be a bit much... too much of a good thing landing in someone’s inbox never ends well. But for weekly updates or special offers, it’s a handy little boost that keeps engagement high without overdoing it.
Flodesk doesn’t try to be everything. It focuses on what matters and for me, that’s simple design, smart automation, and real-time efficiency. Combine that with powerful integrations and freedom to grow my list without financial penalty, and I’ve got a platform that feels like a partner, not just a tool.
I came for the pricing. I stayed for the integrations. And I remain here because Flodesk actually helps me show up for my audience.
If you’re a content creator, blogger, or product seller using Shopify or relying on Mediavine ad income, give it a serious look. It might just be your forever ESP (Email Service Provider) too.
And if you find yourself smiling while sending your fifth email this week... well, you’re in good company.
