Chanka de pollo
Ingredientes
• 4 presas grandes de pollo o
• 1 pollo pequeño
• 1/2 taza de habas tiernas
• ½ taza arvejas
• 4 papas grandes peladas
• 1 cebolla
• Colas de cebolla
• Sal al gusto
Preparación
Lavar las presas de pollo o el pollo entero cortar por presas grandes, eliminar las menudencias, lavar y hacer cocer en un litro y medio de agua caliente con sal, agregar la cabeza de la cebolla pelada, habas, arvejas y sal al gusto.
Cuando el pollo se encuentre a medio cocer, agregar las papas lavadas y peladas.
Las colas de la cebolla lavar y picar finamente, apagar el fuego y echar a la sopa
Servir la presa de polio, encima la porción de habas, las colas de la cebolla, una papa, su propio caldo.

(Ëste es un plato típico de mi país Bolivia y específicamente de mi ciudad Cochabamba, donde el clima es tan benigno que da mucha verdura y muy rica)

English Translation

Ingredients:


  • 4 large chicken breasts or 1 small chicken
  • ½ cup of shelled tender broad beans
  • ½ cup peas
  • 1 medium onion cut in quarters
  • ½ cup chopped green onion
  • salt to taste
  • 1½ litre of water
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled


Preparation:
Wash and if using whole chicken, cut into pieces. Cook together with everything except the potatoes.
When the chicken is partially cooked, after about 40 minutes, add the whole potatoes.

Cut the meat into smaller pieces when it is tender.

Serve.
