Need More Information !
by: Gerhild

Not quite sure of this cake! Sounds interesting. My first thought was Blitz Torte which translates as "Lightning Cake".

Blitz Torte has meringue layers and that also made me think of "clouds". But your description talks about a dark layer on the bottom. That has me stumped.

If you have any more information to add, that would certainly make it easier to find the recipe. Translated into German, Cloud Cake, "Wolken Torte", still doesn't sound familiar.

Also the nationality (is it German?) would help and from what part of the country (north, south, etc.). Any extra info is useful!

Perhaps one of our readers recognizes this cake? If you do, please send in the recipe. Even a picture would be great!

Thanks.
