German Baked Pork Chops Recipes are an easy dinner and are a great way to celebrate Oktoberfest.
There are several methods for baking pork chops. This one is similar to a braised pork chop. The chops are baked on a bed of sauerkraut, so the meat doesn't dry out.
As a variation, you can slightly brown some onion rings when you are frying the bacon and add that to the sauerkraut as well. Another change would be peeled and sliced apples added to the sauerkraut. Both are scrumptious additions to this traditional meal.
Serve with boiled potatoes and some German mustard on the side. It's a family-pleaser and you'll find yourself making it often.
